This tool will allow you to display a cookie free Twitter feed on your website.

This tool has been disabled

The 3rd party twitter widget was originally developed to allow site owners to display a cookie free Twitter feed on their website ensuring the site content remains in line with EdWeb cookie consent.

EdWeb – Cookies we use

This widget was developed within the University using the Twitter API. Twitter have recently changed made significant functional and financial changes to this offering which have caused the current widget to stop displaying content.

Twitter Developer Portal – Ready to build on Twitter?

Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to disabled the Twitter feed widget due to Twitter API restrictions that we cannot currently resolve.

At this time we have no plans to develop this widget further for use within the current EdWeb platform, however we will return to assess the necessity of this feature for the new Web Publishing Platform, EdWeb 2.0, post migration.

What do I need to do?

Twitter widgets currently being used within EdWeb pages will be presenting a “Could not authenticate you.” Error message.

Site editors will be required to remove the block from the EdWeb page.

We are unable to identify individual pages displaying this widget.
